Cam or Crank position sensor 900 1991

Can some kind soul please tell me where to find the cam or crank position sensor on a 91' 940 GLE. I have recently replaced all timing and Balance shaft pulleys and belt and had to remove the distrubutor when replacing the hydralic lifters (knocking). I payed carefull attention to having everything lined up on belt reinstalls but the darn thing won't start. I am not a mechanic but love this car and wanted to get it running for my son to drive. BTW it started on the day I begun tearing it down, just knocked like a loud diesel and needed some timing end reconditioning for good measure.
