block heater plug-ins for sub-zero temps? 200

Hello,

I'm just wondering if anybody has done the research or work on setting up for a block-heater plug-in on a pretty standard 240 2-door? Somebody was telling me that most standard 240's came with some kind of block heater unit already installed because of the region they're built in. Is it as simple as getting the proper cord set up out the front grill? What's involved? I'm a coomplete cold weather newbie when it comes to cars.

Thanks.
