5 spoke rim material 200 1989

I'm not sure if this has been done but I'm going to give it a go anyway. I'd like to shot peen, electro polish and then anodize a set of volvo five spokes - in that order. The five spokes are off my '83 245 and will be straightened on a lathe beforehand. My question is this - I somehow need to find out exactly what material the five spokes are comprised of. Is it 6061 aluminum, is it a mix of aluminum and magnesium or? I need to know this because the anodizing process, if overdone, can cause the rim material to become brittle and crack. I do have some old five spokes at my disposal to test these processes on however I would much prefer to know the exact material.
If anyone can help with this I would truly appreciate it. Even to be pointed in the right direction would be great.
Thanks
