Help rear noise on turning 700 1989

Gee I got a fright today! Was turning right at an intersection and floored it and there was this grinding noise from the left rear and there was no traction. I had to tap off the accelerator to get across the intersection.

appears to only occur when i give it juice when i am turning. If I accelerate gently there is no noise.

Is it bad cv joints or worse? (rear suspension is independent)

What ever it is , any estimate of cost?
