Engine cylinder block drain cock 200

I am trying to drain the coolant from my engine block. I am a bit confused, because the picture in the Bentley manual does not look exactly like the 240 wagon that I have. What I think is the drain cock is located below the exhaust manifold and can be seen as one looks down through the exhaust manifold. The oil filter is directly below it. It has what looks like course thread on the outside, and about a number 8 allen on the inside. If this truly is the engine drain cock, how do I go about following directions of attaching a hose to let the antifreeze drain into a pail and then loosen the cock once the hose is installed? I missed the notation about Volvo special tool no. ###, so can someone give me some tips on what they use to drain the coolant from the engine? Thanks!
