HELP - Inner Tie Rods - Hamburg Technic from FCP Groton 200 1991

Hi all,

I'm getting ready to replace the inner tie rods on our 91 240 (it has the late CAM GEAR rack). I just received the parts from Nick at FCP; they're German-made from Hamburg Technic. They look like nice pieces, but . . . they don't appear to have any "flats" on them for a wrench. I've done inners before on both ZF and early CAM racks, but IIRC, both had some kind of "flats" or means gripping them with a wrench and tightening them down.

Is there anybody out there with a BTDT on these? Also, all the other tie rods from FCP had been TRW or MOOG . . . any experience with the Hamburg Technic (good/bad/indifferent)? I'll be sure to post anything I find/figure out.

Thanks in advance for you experiences/insights!

Best regards,

Steve A-
