Inspect your crank sensor. This is one of th wires that goes down the firewall behind the distributor. IT could have all frayed insulation and be cutting out on you.
I also would suspect that the dist cap or rotor is totally filthy, and the spark is weak. The plugs may be fouled as well.
Try to clean the cap and sand or file the contact spots in the cap and rotor- the caps are about $50 and you want to keep one working as long as possible.
If they're really carboned up or oily, you may have no choice but to replace. If the cap is dirty, it probably did foul the plugs, causing what you describe.
If you want to verify sufficient fuel flow, you can remove the return line off the fuel pressure regulator, and catch the fuel in a can or cup- there should be return fuel flow all the time if the pumps are good. IF the fuel rail has a test valve on it, you can test pressure there easily; otherwise the supply hose needs to be removed and an in-line gauge installed for testing.
I'm betting mainly on ignition parts, not fuel. Also go over it looking for significant vacuum leaks, like a hose split or off somewhere.
