Strange electrical problems 200 1986

My wife's 245 has been acting strange, and now even stranger. All of a sudden the lights started going dim, and now they will flicker on and off or will not come on at all. The blinkers blink rapidly as if one is burnt out. It wouldn't start yesterday without a charge, but I know the battery is good.

I know these cars start acting funny when the alternator goes bad, is that most likely my problem? Could it be the wiring harness? I used to live in Ann Arbor and had great Volvo service there, but now I'm out in Lansing, MI and have no auto repair connections. If anybody could help with both these questions, I'd be in your debt.
