Pilot bearing extraction. 200

Thanks for reminding me that I need to change the pilot bearing when I do the clutch job. I ordered one last night, along with a clutch alignment tool (instead of my homemade one?)
When I did this on a 122 I remember hacking out the old bearing with a coal chisel.
Since then I learned of a trick involving wet toilet paper. The idea is to pound wet toilet paper into the center of the bearing with a wooden dowel and that the pressure that builds up will push the bearing out.
Has anyone ever tried this, or know of another technique?
