245 Sticking Fuel Gauge! Any suggestions? 200

Well....hello again everyone!!!

My son has killed my 88' 245 last Tuesday BUT I was able
to locate an 87' 245 with 160k miles in pretty nice
condition. I am taking to have Maryland Inspected
on Wednesday and I believe it will pass on everything
EXCEPT is has a stuck fuel gauge. I just briefly looked at
the car yesterday and the gauge was indicating empty.

Could this be as simple as a wire leading to the gauge
or does it most likely involve me opening up the tank???

As always, any suggestions are very much appreiated!!!!

Cheers,

Karl
