'87 240 Ignition Problem 200

Hi. I have been battling a no-start problem with my '87 and still have not found a solution. After troubleshooting using the Bentley manual, the I.C.U. appears to be the problem. I replaced it with a rebuilt unit with no success. The coil and impulse sender (Hall) have checked out and I had already replaced some of the tune up parts (cap, rotor, and coil wire). I have new plug wires, but have not replaced them yet. I have checked the wiring harness for damage, but have not found any damage. I have spark from the coil wire, but not to the plug wires. I am getting fuel to the injectors. Could I have received a bad I.C.U.?

I don't think I misdiagnosed the condition, but I am not 100% sure I diagnosed the impulse sender as being funcional. I found a post from 'lucid' on 3-15-06 replied by Bruce Young and according to the section for the ICU Switching Test, the ICU is still the culprit. I have not had a chance to perform his version of the Hall Test.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Chris
