OD driving me crazy 200 1984

Since the light goes out when the OD disengages, replace the 4th gear switch on the trans.

OD gets power through the relay at the same time the dash light gets lit. The 4th gear switch is connected to the negative lead of the relay coil. 4th gear switch opens, relay opens, OD disengages, that simple.

Somewhere in the past three dasy I posted how to access the switch a bit easier than dropping everything. Do a search for postings by me, you should find it.

Also, before you tear into the 4th gear switch, make sure your fuse for the OD has clean contacts. 4th gear switch is more likely but do the easy before the harder.
