92 745T 211K

Hello new to the board, but have aquired in the last year my first car from my father. A sweet 92 740 Turbo wagon. With 211K my question stems from a recent lack of 4th gear an obvious overdrive issue. I would like to know more about drilling out the OEM overdrive solenoid to allow it to work like the IPD bypass plate any info would be great. Thanks in advance.
