745 hoses to replace 700 1992

Hello Frank:

As Nate pointed out, those are coolant hoses-- they are involved in the circuit that transfers heat from the oil to the coolant system.

I would make replacing them a priority, given that they are essentially at the lowest point in the coolant system-- if one bursts, you will be out of coolant in a hurry. Unless you are really vigilant about watching your temp gauge, you could easily have a serious overheat on your hands.

They are cheap in aftermarket (FCPgroton.com has them for about $10 each), but pricier and probably better quality at the dealer.

On my "rust belt" '92 945 it turned out that the hoses were bad and so was the hard pipe that connects to the block where the drain spigot is on the N/A cars. It was pinholed with rust.

Good luck!
