Axle Bearings 700

If you are able to remove the axle shaft from the car, then you're set. Leave the rest of that job to an automotive machine shop. The indy repair shops would do it the same way. Just remember to replace the shaft seal while it's apart.

If you jack it so the side of the axle housing that you are pulling is slightly higher than the other (even an inch higher), then you won't have gear oil leak out when you pull the axle.
