Wet carpet - what to do? 200 1990

I noticed the carpet under my rubber floor mat, driver side is soaked. We've had a ton of rain this month (Oregon Duck). I also live and park my brick in an old neighborhood with huge trees, so lots of leaves and crap are on it. I brush off the leaves daily. Are there vent drains or firewall plugs I should look at first? I did have a problem like this with my 745, my body shop took care of the problem (it was a fender gasket that was shot). Are the 240's similar in seeking water leaks? Thanks in advance for your help!
