Transmission Swap/ power brakes 120-130 1966

I've got a 66 122s with an auto transmission, it lurches when it's put in gear. I've replaced the driveshaft suppport bushings, and the U-Joints are new...which seems to leave the transmission as the weakest link. I don't like autos, and it was rebuilt by the previous owner already.

Just wondering...
How hard would it be to attach a manual transmission from some more modern car from a wrecking yard? Oh, and the same thing goes for my brakes. I don't want to spend hundreds on conversion kit, so I'd like to know how feasable it would be to rip a master cylinder and booster out of a junker and swap it for my current non-boosted master cylinder. I'd probably replace the brake lines as they're old and rusty as well.
