B18 Autopsy... 120-130 1967

Wow! I have seen them broken several different ways but have NEVER seen
the gear come off the shaft. BTW I have several spares and would be glad
to send you one. E-mail me offline.
You might want to check and make sure the distributor turns freely -
I have had distributor advance mechanisms come apart and damage the drive
ring on top of the gear (break out half the ring) and I suspect that if a
weight suddenly jammed into the case it MIGHT do that if the gear was not
tight on the shaft.

Let us know what you find - I am REALLY curious!
