Non start 200 1980

Why would the timing belt have slipped?

check the main fuel pump fuse in the fuse panel...in my 80, if it's been in there for 6 mo even though it looks ok and I have a no start problem I put a new one in first. Check the hoses on the Aux Air Valve to see if they're lose of off the manifold. Jump the pre-pump fuse to the main pump fuse - running the pump bypassing the FI relay--- and see if it starts then.

If it dosen't then try confirming ignition/spark. How are the wires that go from the Ingnition CU by the washer bottle to the distributor, running under the front of the engine.

Why oh why don't they make 240s anymore :(
