Windshield replacement, molding, leaks 200 1990

My '90 245 has a windshield leak that causes water to drip down over the fuse panel. I've peered under the dash with a flashlight, and I can see water dripping from where the windshield meets the plastic molding at the lower left corner. When I look at the windshield from outside the car, I can see water tracking between the glass and the black sealant on the inside. I've read all the posts...the drains from the cowling vents to the rocker panels are clear, and there are no firewall leaks that I can find. I'm pretty sure I've located the leak.

More info: the windshield reads "Pilkington," whereas the rest of the glass reads "Volvo." I'm assuming this is not the original glass. Am I right?

What to do? Replace the front windshield? I've been quoted $230 from Safelite. Is this fair?

My most pressing concern: if I do replace the glass, will the windshield pros use an appropriate trim molding? Will they re-use the original? It seems to be a fragile molding, ie. easily pliable and bendable. The floor pans are so far free of rust
