side marker light question 900 1997

I brought the driver's side wire through a white plastic plug that is up high and under the Volvo molded cableway and in line with the front of the air cleaner. I punched a hole through the plug and brought the wires through. It is hard to see.

On the passenger side I used the really big white plug near the battery to bring the wires through. I was not as happy with this because you can see it, but it was an easy target. Make sure you have some harness tube around the wires, especially where it goes through the caps. A dab of RTV to seal the hole if you choose to pierce the plastic caps would not hurt.

Vlvword is $57 with the harness. Shop around. it is likely all the same stuff.

With a splicing connector, you should not be cutting any original wires. I don't remember if I had to trim back on the protective tubing to get enough room for both splice connections.
