What was I thinking??? 700

Sounds like the shift lock relay is not working. With the key in the run position, press on the brake pedal, you should hear the shift lock relay click. If there is no sound check the fuse. If you were under the dash make sure that you didn`t disconnect any wires to the switches at the brake pedal assy. Also possible bad shift lock relay. I believe you should be able to bypass the shift lock manually thru the slot in the gear lever console. If you have the owners manual it will explain this procedure. Hope this helps! Then again I just realized that you are dealing with a standard shift , I guess some where along the holiday I must have turned into a turkey Its all my wifes fault. SORRY DEADfoot not ledfoot
