loose windhshield trim 200 1989

Was test-driving the 240 (pre-purchase) and I noticed wind noise at 40mph+. Discovered windshield trim is loose at multiple points. Seller said this is a known problem due to byzantine snap-clip system on the '89.

How do I secure the trim so that it's not popping out of place like this? Do I need to replace the trim entirely, maybe with the molded plastic like that the '91 model? Cost estimate for replacement molding? Many thanks.
