Hey guys-

Got a new issue with my '92 wagon with just under 270k. For the past month or so, I've noticed an odor from the heat vents which smells similar to exhaust. However, I'm not completely sure what it is since I don't seem to experience any of the health effects that would be associated with exhaust gases getting into the cabin. Soory I can't be more descriptive, but its a definite odor, which smells "exhaust like". Seems to occurr in cycles as well, i.e. its not constant.

A few facts about the exhaust system. Cat was replaced last january with an IPD unit. I just put in a complete cat-back exhaust (IPD) about a month ago. Headpipe is still orginal (I'm wondering if this is beginning to leak?). Exhaust manifold gasket is original (haven't evaluated its condition yet).
