belts, a question, & some pics 200

new belts make you car quiet.
new belts are nice and pretty.
plus, you can inspect you accessory bushings.

was on the verge of stripping my fan to h2o pump nuts. Dealer charged me $10.30 for 4 new nuts. A$$holes.

how fast to change your belts?

Taking out the fan shroud, fan, air box, & AMM, I did mine (with everything back) in two hours.

Properly tensioned to the just snug point, all my squeeking is gone.

I did find that FCP sent me an 825 or 830 for the power steering -which I thought was wrong. I was using an 815 or 810. Too small, too tight.

All summer I could not figure out why the p/s was out of alignment with all new poly bushes in place. Belt was too small.

No wonder I had squeeking with the wrong size belt on the p/s pump.

Where Mr. Pimp Hand gets down. My make-shift garage. Got tools, welder, compressor, a completely parted out 240 in a bunch of giant tupperware boxes, work stuff, and more organized perfectly inside my man space.
