Mystery intermittent coolant leak 200

Hey Everyone,

My '81 240 GL (B23E) is losing coolant but I can't figure out where it's leaking. I've watched under the hood as it's running and after I've just shut it off several times and have never spotted any leaks, however, sometimes I find a nice little puddle of coolant underneath it in the morning or after it's been parked for several hours. But that's not every morning. Just sometimes. There are lots of times it doesn't leak at all so it's really got me scratching my head. I'm pretty sure it's not coming from the heater hoses as the coolant drips down onto the belly pan and then onto the ground.

Anybody ever had a problem like this on their 240 ? Did you ever find where the leak was coming from and if so where was it ?

Thanks,

Roger
