What is a brickster? 200

My dad bought one new in 75, his "fishin' car". He drove it from Oklahoma to
southern Mexico towing a boat once, got lost in Mexico City and fell in behind
a bus till it passed his hotel. He came back with the comment that "Diesel
fuel is so cheap down there I can't afford not to go back!" Because of some
problems towing a boat trailer in the mountains he put a turbo on it. My sister got it after he died in 96, but I think she traded it off on some kinda
rice burner.
