Pinging 89 240DL, Any suggestions 200

Hello All,
I have an 89 245DL, M47, 130K miles. I have only had the car for about a year. After I first got it, I noticed that it would ping on the highway in 5th gear with light throttle (2000-3000 RPM). Since I first noticed the issue, I have, sea foamed, BG44k'd, replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, air filter, air box thermostat, fuel pump relay, engine ECU, knock sensor, EZK control unit. I have also checked for vac leaks and found none, tried different fuel grades with no change in the problem. There are no fault codes in either the LH or EZK systems.

It got a little better when I replaced the EZK box and knock sensor, currently it will do it if I accelerate up to highway speed, and once I get it in 5th gear it will knock if I keep a light foot on the throttle. It goes away and stays away if I give it 50% throttle in 5th gear.

The car otherwise runs very well and has good power (for a B230f). Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try next?

Thanks in advance for the help.
Kevin
