Heat Blower Motor Fan Removal 200

I've got the instrument panel on my 86 240 DL wagon stripped down and I've removed the ducting and the outside cylindrical cover on both side of the combined unit. I've taken out the three screws on each stide of the unit that hold the back of the cover to the combined unit. The only thing holding back the removal of the fan motor is the clip on the fans turbine wheel. How the heck do you get the little devil of a center clip off on the fan?
