Possible ball joint problem?? 700 1990

You really need to check everything: ball joints, strut arm bushings (these wear fast on 700 series!!!!), tie rod ends and struts/strut mount bearings. Most of these are easy to replace yourself, with the actual struts being the most difficult (because you have to compress the springs, etc.). It is worthwhile to go ahead and replace the ball joints and strut arm bushings...if the car has any miles on it and these have not been recently replaced they will need it soon anyway. If you order from FCP Groton or someplace like that it will not be expensive and you can accomplish it in a couple or three hours. Replacing the struts will take a good long day if you have not done it before. GET THE RIGHT TOOLS BEFORE YOU START!!! Also, make sure you take it to the alignment shop when you get finished replacing the parts.
