Worth it to change to vented rotors? 200 1982

I need to put some new pads on the brakes on the front of my '82 245. The car is a DL and has the solid front rotors.

I'm debating whether or not it would be worthwhile to change over to the vented front rotors as found on the GL, GLE models that year. I understand that in addition to the rotors, I'll have to change out the calipers as well.

I drive like an old lady most of the time if that matters.

Any advice?

Thanks!
