Hydra wheels on 244 200

My 87 244 has the Hydra wheels from a 740... lately I've noticed some BONE jarring smacks when going over select "imperfections" in the wonderful Texas Highway System... I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with these conditions after the exchange. Shock going bad?
If so what shock can ease these?

Please note that I did match the same tire height for the previous 14 steel wheel + tire. I am fully aware of the sidewall flex is much firmer on a 16" tire. I am looking into taking some CLOSE examinations of the ball joints for ANY play. Finally the F+R CAB's have been replaced (c/o VLVwrld)just almost a year ago.
