identifying the B20 in my 544 444-544

On the right side of the engine block just below the headgasket joint,
above the breather box and dipstick you will see some numbers cast into the
block followed by some stamped on a flat boss following the cast numbers.
If it is a B20, the numbers will start with 49 and may also show as 4969
followed by stamped numbers. Report the first 6 digits starting with 49
and I can tell you some info about your engine. Some examples are "496934"
or "498100". The numbers following the first 6 are the sequence number of the
engine, like a "serial number" for that particular engine type.
