Speedometer erratic 700 1992

Passport,

Thanks for the info. The cluster in my '92 is actually from a '92 740 turbo. The original cluster's speedo went dead about 20,000 miles ago and the replacement cluster worked fine until recently. Thanks for the offer on the sending unit, but I do have one I can get from a parts car.

I didn't mention this in my original post but my speedo's problem seems to occur more frequently when it's humid outside which is generally when it's warmer out. Maybe yours also has something to do with this since it tends to work temporarily when it's cold out (less humid). I live in Florida and the weather has recently been cool (high 50's at night, high 70's during the day) and the speedo hasn't had the problem for about a week (makes it hard to troubleshoot).

I'm going to check the ground located behind the kick panel on the driver's side (suggestion from TurboWagon91).

Thanks again and I'll post any new info,
Bolbo
