coolant leak: seems to be leaking from engine block 200

My 244 has developed a coolant leak over the past few days. It's not much, but enough for me to want to to stop it. It's not coming from the radiator or any of the hoses, but seems to be leaking from the engine block--maybe a freeze plug? Would it stop if I tightened the bolt? Or would I have to put some thread sealant on it too? I don't want to loose too much more coolant as it's the expensive Volvo kind.
Thanks
