Update 120-130

After my last post, and some out-loud reasoning, I went out and flipped the wires to where they should have been (1-3-4-2). It went back to not firing at all, but knowing that it *could* fire up, I adjusted the crank pulley to 0 TDC and rotated the distributor a bit (its 180-off). So I re-plugged the wires 4-2-1-3 and voila, it finally fired up and ran in good order.

I then spent a while trying to get the mix and idle adjusted to something reasonable. I ran out of time before I got it all proper, but at least the engine runs nice and smooth now.

Once I get the timing set properly, I'll finish the final tune up and asjustments and put the rest of the car back together.

Also, the motor got close to the really hot reading, and then finally cooled down to normal and stayed there. So the new Head Gasket is working well.
