'Cure' for a minor oil leak...that's not a problem, that's a feature! 700

The old B234F is a weeper in the area of the cam carrier / block gasket. The usual issue with this motor. As you drive, a small amount of oil moves to the back of the block and ends up dripping from the lowest point - the oil drain plug. Not really an issue since the amount is small. But it does stain the driveway and upset the persnickity, including me after we had a new driveway put in. The oil may reduce corrosion but the drip had to go. I have Cherry Turbo braces on the car. The lower brace sits nicely below the oil pan. So I fashioned a piece of scrape sheet metal (from an old dishwasher I think) to snap onto the brace and act as a catch pan for the drip. Works a treat. Pops off easily come oil change time.

If anyone asks, I'll just say it an underbody ground effects panel ... very rare. :-)
