B18D compression check 444-544

Hi all. It's still 60-65 degree weather out here in California, therefore, I'm still tinkering with the ole PV of mine. I did a compression check recently and the results are as follows: cylinders one through four readings: 150 150 160 150. Do these readings indicate my engine is heading over the horizon? The compression gage I used was pretty old, about 40 years old! I know the window for a healthy engine should be 156-185. But, I used a bore scope to check the cylinders and cross hatch was quite evident on the walls of all four. The engine does not smoke or burn oil. Furthermore, the top of all the pistons, barring a slight build-up of carbon, looks relatively good. Since the engine is a transplant, I have no clue about the actual miles on it. The engine has lots of power, driving in third still gives me more than ample power at 25mph. It has so much power I sometimes look at the gear shift and was surprised that I was still in third and not second gear.
