Went to the junk yard today... 200

I used my last vacation day today.

My co-workers yesterday asked what I was going to do, and I let them know I was going to the Volvo junk yards... Got a few weird looks, and then smiles. They know I'm a lost cause keeping the old car rolling. They all have new cars and make those "Easy monthly payments..."

Anyway, I got a few bargains, but mostly disappointment, as what I was looking for is what everyone else was looking for, AMM's, computers, relays, good Virgos... I picked up a black passengers seat that I am going to use for my drivers seat, looks brand new! I know it's not a direct fit, but I plan on removing the cloth and putting it on the drivers frame that I have.

There were a LOT of 240's, 740's and 850's where only one corner of the car was hit. I guess too expensive to repair, so a total loss. The car I salvaged from today was a beautiful burgundy '89 240 with 265K that was in MINT condition except for the slight engine fire.

I also saw an old 1800 that was cut in half, what a sad sight!

If it needs to be maintained, repaired or replaced on a 1990 240, I've probably done it. '90 240DL, 245K looking forward to 300K badge. >>You haven't really worked on a car until you draw blood<< :-}
