Blower Question 200 1984

I have an 84 244 in great shape. I have noticed that the blower motor works, but in a limited fashion:

Using the normal 5 position switch, the blower will turn off, but positions 1, 2 and 3 I only get the blower moving at the low (or #1 speed). When I put the switch on 4, it is on high. Note, the motor seems fine with out any strange noises.

Since this is an “old tech” car, I am assuming that the speed of the blower is determined by the switch and possibly by resistors that are on or directly connected with the switch… and if I change the switch, I will have my other (medium, etc. ) speeds back?

Any thought appreciated.

Alan
