A second Service Socket 700 1991

Actually, the "Service Socket" is there on the 700/900 too, at least on my '93 940. It's not up on the firewall like the 240's, but comes from a harness bundle on the left front fender next to the air filter box.

It may not be easy to see (not much slack) but it's a single pink wire in a double Blue plug, with a female flat terminal.

So "ibs" had a good idea, even though Volvo had it first.
