Charging problem solved. 200 1986

We have been dealing with this intermitent problem for five months. The charging system will work for a while and then die. I took the alternator off today and took it in for testing. It works fine. Just before I put it in I decided to test the ground wire my son made. He crimped connectors on each end and both were faulty. After reading this forum I crimp, solder and heat shrink any connection. Did that to the replacement ground wire and it's charging 14.5 volts. All three 240s are running!!
