M46 overdrive keeps shutting off 200 1981

My '81 245 has a new glitch and keeps shutting the overdrive off. The light and overdrive unit function as they're supposed to, but it's as if I hit the switch to shut it off. Sometimes hitting the switch again will activate OD, others it won't.

I have fixed a couple of problems on it over the past two years. First, I had to put a new connector on the ground wire from the solenoid and bolt it to the tranny. Then I had to repair the wire from the switch in the shifter under the boot.

I have looked under the boot and the wires are okay there. I took the relay out and soldered the large solder joints (I don't have a small enough soldering gun to do the small ones) but the relay circuit board didn't look anything like the one in the 740 FAQ section.

When it's on, I can make it kick out by abruptly letting off and hitting the gas a couple of times causing some vibration, which led me to believe it was a bad connection or a short somewhere but I haven't found one yet.

Advice? Thanks.
