turbo control 900

this goes out to all those 940 turbo owners who have an actual incrimental boost guage installed on their cars. I have been considering an upgrade from my 244 to a 940 turbo or a 960. I like the 940 redblock bomb-proofed-ness, but the 960's smoother power delivery seems nothing short of astonishing. I am very into turbo manipulation, that is boost control couple with fuel and ignition advance control. I would love to pick up a 940 turbo and drop some cash on a fancey boost controler in order to acheive maximum flexibility. My question is, in stock trim, what is the max boost that a 940 turbo produces, what boost is produced at 75mph and what is the maximum boost that the stock turbo itself can support. I am looking to bump the boost up for trips in the mountains, and crank it down to next to zero bar for flat highway 75mph cruises. any thoughts?
