Ignition dying at idle, driving update advice needed 700 1988

OK my 1988 740 230F LH 2.2 has passed all the hall effect sensor/ wiring tests.
It wasn't the ignition coil or powerstage. The problem is definately ignition failure. It dies after running for 5-15 min w/ no spark if checked right after dying. After 5 minutes it fires right up & dies after 5-15 min.
1 of the resistance tests for the hall sensor system went from 23 ohms to .1 ohms after cleaning up a ground. Still dies.
I am on my way to the wrecker to get an ignition module, mounted above brake pedal(Bosch 0 261 201 011).

If this doesn't fix problem can the master ECU be involved?
