I just bought a 740GLE turbo-diesel sedan manual trans with only 200,000km on it but am not having much luck finding someone to work on it. I have gradually been fixing the electronics but the engine is a mystery to me. It runs well but I fear at least one glow plug is dead which makes for a very messy startup. Does anyone out there know what kind of fuel consumption I should be expecting with this car. I acutally posted a first time mileage around town better than my dodge stratus which has a 2L 4 cyl and 5speed and I'm sure the volvo is running rich. Please answer to kport46@yahoo.ca please. I'm curious as to how many were brought over here to Canada and the US.
