engine noise / valves or rod knock? 120-130 1967

WELL, JUST FINISHED.

Changed both timing gears, crank and cam. Sound still there.... I changed the water pump as well while I had the front of the engine open, no problem but I thought I would get it done.....

I'm thinking that this sound may in the valve train or a rod knock. It goes away at load so I can't figure it out. No vibrations, just a loud banging! Engine still runs great!

Pulled the plugs when I was working on the gears and spun the crank around with the gears off. No noise or bad feel. Just a smooth transition. I'm thinking that this may be in the cam, or the lifters?

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Bill

Thanks for the OD info. I disconnected the relay until I can get to the top of the trans.
