Sway bar end bushings and brake rotors 900 1992

Greetings Volvo purists!
I just replaced the end bars that go from the sway bar to the lower control arm on my '92 960 sdn. I ordered urathane bushings that go North and South of the sway bar attachment. The lower is pre-installed rubber so I'll leave it. I've torqued these new ones pretty hard, just about all that I gould muster with a 17mm wrench. Is that too much, or is the more the better? Also I need to change my brake rotors. Is it a big deal once I get the calipers off? Specifically how do I remove the positioning pin? I got a set of F&Rs for $100 on ebay.
Thanks guys
