stalling problem 200 1988

Hi, I have a 1988 240DL volvo which is stalling out as I drive along. I replaced the fuel pump relay but it still stalls out. There seems to be no telling when it will stall. Sometimes it drives along fine and other times it stalls constantly whether the engine is warm or not. Any ideas? I live in Nashville, Tn. Anyone know of a good reasonable volvo mechanic in Nashville?
