larger oil filter to fit a b230 200

whats an advantage of runnign a larger oil filter?

at one point I was too lazy to change the oil myself so I took it to a quick lube place, and they didnt have a volvo oil filter size in stock.. so they managed to fit a larger one on.

when i found that out it wasnt the right size I gave them ish to the extreme

With the larger oil filter and prolly a crappy check valve, the oil light would stay on at start for 3-5 seconds... with my mann filter, it goes away in a flash
